Mikals Laks AS was founded April 5, 2000. We are a family-owned smokehouse which produces high-quality smoked and cured salmon for food-conscious customers. The family has a longstanding tradition in the marine industry, fishing and fish processing. Emphasis is placed on traceability in all joints from egg to table. Only the finest raw materials are used, which along with natural raw materials such as juniper, beech spoon, sea salt and sugar create a gourmet product.
The factory is located on Skiftun in the municipality of Hjelmeland, and satisfies all requirements for a modern fish processing plant. We are an approved exporter. Approximately 10% of our sales are exported; mainly to Germany, France, Switzerland and Austria. We deliver our products in whole sides or small packages, and in fixed or variable weight according to the customer’s requests and needs.
Opening hours: All weekdays from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (08:00 – 15:30).
